Background Information

A Migraine headache is a recurrent, throbbing, very painful, sometimes chronic headache, often affecting one side of the head and sometimes accompanied by vomiting or by distinct warning signs including visual disturbances. Symptoms may include deep pounding in the head, nausea, vomiting, irritability, strong and painful reactions to light and loud noises. Needless to say, migraine headaches can have a dramatic negative impact on your quality of life and may make even the simplest of daily activities seem tortuous.
