Bladder
DID YOU KNOW…
The two most popular prescription drugs for overactive bladder (frequent urination) generated revenues of about $750 million in the US alone last year. Needless to say, loss of bladder control is a very common problem.
Background Information
“Overactive Bladder,” or incontinence are terms used to describe a condition in which a person has lost some level of control over their bladder (It may also be referred to as: urinary incontinence, urge incontinence, urinary stress, or stress urinary incontinence). Typically, one may experience:
* Frequent urination (more than 8 times per day).
* Waking up more than 2 times per night to urinate
* Sudden, strong desire to urinate
* Incontinence – accidental leakage of urine
Needless to say, an overactive bladder can have a significant detrimental effect on a person’s quality of life. The exact cause of overactive bladder is still not known. However, there are safe, natural ways to help promote healthy bladder function as an alternative to drugs which may have long-term side effects.
